Abstract
The article is an enlarged continuation of 5 formerly printed articles on Survey of Faroese Lakes. A data base of the lakes in the Faroe Islands is mentioned and displayed for »Hests markatalsbygd«, to give a description of the lakes in Hestur, and a contribution to fhe question of the differentiation between a »vatn« and a »tjørn«. In addition the changes of the lakes are described whether caused by man or nature.
