Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines
A complete submission includes the following:
- Cover letter to the editors
- Full contact details of the corresponding author(s)
- List of suggested reviewers
- Manuscript file
- Embedded tables and figures
- Supplementary files (optional)
All manuscripts received will be evaluated by the board of editors and independent reviewers. Manuscripts should be submitted to the board of editors via the website.

Copyright
Submission of a manuscript implies:
- The work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review or thesis).
- It is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Its publication has been approved by all coauthors, if any.
- The manuscript will not be published elsewhere in any language without the consent of the copyright holders.
Copyright and publishing rights for texts published are retained by the authors, with first publication rights given to the journal. As this is an open access journal, access to texts are free provided academic attribution is given appropriately.
Authors must obtain written permission of the copyright holder for material used from other copyrighted sources; and that any costs associated with obtaining this permission are the author’s responsibility. The work of others should be fully and appropriately acknowledged.
Style Guide
This style guide must be followed or else the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.
Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format (1.5 line spacing; Times New Roman 12-point font; alignment left). Paragraphs to be divided with double spacing, long quotations of more than 100 characters to be indented.
The title of the paper in bold, UPPER and lower case, in the language of the paper and in Faroese/English respectively, UPPER and lower case, in italics.
The author/s name: Italic, UPPER and lower case followed by two line spaces.
Level 1 subtitle: Bold, UPPER and lower case followed by one-line space.
Level 2 subtitle: Bold, UPPER and lower case followed by no space.
Level 3 subtitle: Italics, UPPER and lower case followed by no space.
The title and author’s name should be on the first page, followed by an abstract of the paper, of maximum 175 words. It should outline the purpose of the paper, the work, details and important results and conclusions.
The abstract should be translated into Faroese or English depending on the language of the paper. Full name and work place of author/s should be placed below the author/s name/s including the e-mail address/es.
In the text, the International Systems of Units are followed (SI-Units, e.g. meter as m; degree C as °C). Figures: Tables and Figures (including photographs) should be listed after the text, and they should be explained in the caption (not as: .. see text).
Endnotes should be kept to a minimum.
File format for figures and images: high-resolution jpg, png, eps or pdf. For Tables, the tabulator must be used, not spacing.
The journal requires that authors use the APA format. Guidelines are provided on this website:

Ethical guidelines
• Your paper is your original work and where you have included the work of others this has been fully and appropriately acknowledged to prevent allegations of plagiarism.
• Authorship of the paper must list all persons who have made substantial contributions to the work, and they must be identified as co-authors. Persons must not be listed as co-authors if this is not the case.
• All authors should have given approval for the final version of the paper and permission for it to be submitted for publication.
• Any conflict of interest (financial or other) must be stated clearly to ensure that it cannot be deemed to have influenced the paper in any form. All and any sources of financial support should be disclosed.
Role of the funding source
You are required to identify any financial support provided for the conduct of the research and/or preparation of the article and to identify the role of the sponsor(s), if any, in study design; data collection and analysis, report writing or article submission. Non-involvement of funding source must be stated explicitly.
