Abstract

A large number of people affected by Dupuytrens contracture, all members of the same family in Sandoy, Faroe Islands, in whom the incidence of Dupuytrens contracture suggests an autosomal dominant mode of inheritance for this condition, is reported. A brief account of the history, pathology and treatment is given.
