Abstract

There is quite a degree of uncertainty about concord in modern Faroese. Concord in Jakob Jakobsens's Færøske folkesagn og
æventyr (Faroese folktales and legends) is analysed in this article. The conclusion is that, with few exceptions, there is regular
concord of case, umber and gender in the predicate, apposition, parataxis and hypotaxis.
