Abstract
All applications for disability in the Faroes in the period from 1939 to 1975 have been reviewed, and the annual average incidence of neuro logical disease causing disability pr 100,000 has been estimated for the periods 1939-1949, 1950-1959, 1960-1969 and 1970-1975. These figures are almost constant during these periods, and it may be estimated that between 13 and 20 persons annually in the population of 42,000 may need, on the basis of neurologic disease, disability compensation in the future. Table II shows the relative frequencies.
