Abstract
A case of retinoblastoma in identical twins in the Faroes. Twin A has bilateral retinoblastoma (the right eyeground see fig.). Twin B has retinoblastoma in the right eye. Midwife and doctor both confirm that the twins were uniovular. Blood types also agree. Both A's eyes are gradually being enucleated, but the child suffers from oligophrenia presumably as the result of a congenital cerebral defect. B's right eye is being enucleated and the child is doing well. There have been no known cases of retinoblastoma in the family.
